Maximum Apocalypse: Gothic Horrors 2nd Edition is an enhanced base game that brings together several smaller Maximum Apocalypse expansions - Gothic Horrors, Kaiju Rising, Jurassic Perils and Allies of Rapture - in one box, which also includes six apocalyptic scenarios: Cthulhu, Kaiju, Dinosaurs, Vampires, Yokai and Rapture.

Face life-sucking vampires, monsters and werewolves in a classic monster set or try to stop a gang of cultists trying to summon Cthulhu or other Lovecraftian horrors. Each apocalypse also has its own unique mechanics, such as the Insanity deck with fears or the new night/day deck.

The game features five new characters: Priest, Army Ranger, Scientist, Adventurer and Ronin. Each character has their own unique deck with abilities and equipment cards.
