Kanagawa: Yokai (2019) Board Game Expansion

An expansion for the board game Kanagawa in English. The expansion cannot be played separately, the base game is required.

Kanagawa: Yokai includes cards and scoring elements for three new items - kites, umbrellas and paper lanterns. To use them, you will need to replace two elements in the Kanagawa base game with two new elements.

Some cards in the expansion have a yokai symbol, which is visible when you place the card in your painting or in your studio. When you place such a card, you take a yokai token from the reserve or from another player. Collecting three such tokens will give you a prize. At the end of the game, you should hope that someone else will get them, because yokai tokens take away your points at the end of the game.
