Inventors of the South Tigris is set during the golden age of the Abbasid Caliphate, around 850 AD. Over the decades, Baghdad has become home to thousands of mathematicians, astronomers, chemists and physicists. As inspired inventors, players will have to furiously create ingenious gadgets to impress their peers. Will your devices become part of the House of WIsdom or will they be destined to gather dust and rust?

The objective of Inventors of the South Tigris is to be the player with the most Victory Points (VP) at the end of the game. Points are primarily earned from Inventions, Building, Testing and Publishing Devices. Players can also earn points by training their artisans, upgrading their workshops, researching and influencing the 3 scholarly guilds.
